Cain takes no-no into 8th, Giants top Rockies 4-2

Matt Cain pitched the San Francisco Giants into first place — and nearly did it with a no-hitter. Cain held the fading Colorado Rockies hitless into the eighth inning and finished the game himself, leading the Giants to a 4-2 victory Sunday that put them atop the NL West again.

Rox benefiting from Tulowitzki's historic pace

Troy Tulowitzki launched a pair of two-run homers, and Melvin Mora did his part with a grand slam in the eighth inning as the Rockies powered past the Dodgers on Saturday, 12-2.

Rockies cap rally on rookie's steal of home

Rockies pinch-runner Chris Nelson stole home off Reds reliever Nick Masset to score the go-ahead run in the eighth inning, completing a 6-5 comeback Colorado victory on Thursday afternoon at Coors Field.
